As the weather warms and the grass grows greener, the time for us to gather as men has come again. What more perfect occasion than St. Patrick's Day? As a native Chicagoan, I especially enjoy this fabled day, with fond memories of the river turning green, bagpipes, corn beef and cabbage, and the occasional Guinness.
So, mark your calendars for Saturday March 17. The details:
When: 7:30pm - until we're done. If you have little leprechauns, help put them down, kiss your wife goodbye, and come on over.
What: Irish games (croquet), backyard bonfire, conversation, kilts (Rob said he would wear one), and Irish beer-tasting.
Why: Because I miss you all, and it will be great to get together.
