We will be partnering with the Villa Park Neighborhood Association by having an Advent booth at their “Movie Night in the Park” event—where we will give out backpacks, do face painting, and provide refreshments and lawn games to neighborhood kids. Even if you’re not actively part of the Advent booth, you’re encouraged to come and participate in this event with our neighbors! Bring a picnic, enjoy the movie, and get to know our neighbors! 

The event will happen at Joseph P. Martinez Park, just to the west of Advent in Villa Park.  The movie will be Coco and will be shown from 8-10pm.

We will need volunteers to buy $15 gift cards to be given out with the backpacks (to anyplace that sells school supplies), to be face painters, to play lawn games with the neighborhood kids, and to represent us at our booth. Sign up to help in any of these ways in the foyer at Advent, or by e-mailing Huck Burns at burnshugh11@yahoo.com.
